The days are counting down until women in the United States enter "Blackout". I wanted to create a week where all women fight for our rights by participating in different ways to make change for the rights of ourselves, and the daughters of this country. It's ours after all. Nothing is born without women. If we can build it, we can take it away. It's time to "remove ourselves" from society while also creating space for conversation about the invisible role women in our society play. We're invisible that holds it all together. How do you fix something for the long term if someone intentionally breaks it, knowing you're a "fixer" not a breaker? You'll always react and respond. But by joining and showing solidarity for all women in the United States and the rights for our bodily autonomy, we're creating the problem. WE HAVE TO BE THE PROBLEM, NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. Not by helping heal the wounds forced upon us. We no longer clean up the mess. It's time to make the mess. It ends now! The blackout will end with individuals and groups as those people stand up for women. You can no longer be silent. Speak up for us, or lose our business, support, affection (men listen up), etc. Friday Blackout will be known as the moment women SHUT SHIT DOWN!

The big day has come! It's time for the Friday Blackout. For the next week, women will show the impact we have on all things in the United States. Current blackout includes boycotting companies/stores who do not support human rights, offering multiple ways to protest/ participate, and removing ourselves from the equation as much as possible for this week (one of the highest grossing weeks of the year) in every way possible. No shopping unless from women owned or companies who have proven themselves already, no sex for 1 week minimum in solidarity, limited involvement in "invisible tasks" women do daily. The color black will be worn by women during the blackout so that this message is not lost or forgotten throughout the week. We have the power to shut shit down. The blackout continues with those who refuse to change.
